Joint Statement with Gartcosh Community Council

Gartcosh Tenants and Residents Association and Gartcosh Community Council have become increasingly concerned regarding the amount of development and the lack of amenities and infrastructure in our community. Both organisations are aiming to work together in light of the imminent publication of the new local plan for our area.

Fairer Scotland Duty assessment

Gartcosh Tenants and Residents Association was invited to attend The Fairer Scotland Duty assessment at NHS Lanarkshire Board headquarters on Thursday.

Community Engagement with Planning

North Lanarkshire Council is having a meeting regarding planning. Hopefully, there can be some actual discussion around planning, as any attempt to discuss it was shut down at recent Local Area Partnership meetings.

New Monklands Hospital

NHS Lanarkshire has announced a set of proposals to replace the existing Monklands Hospital in Airdrie. Gartcosh has emerged at this stage as the “highest scoring” option. Glenmavis is also being considered as a new location.
