Community Engagement with Planning

North Lanarkshire Council is having a meeting regarding planning. Hopefully, there can be some actual discussion around planning, as any attempt to discuss it was shut down at recent Local Area Partnership meetings.

It is on Tuesday 26th June in Cumbernauld, from 7 – 9 pm, and you must register here to attend.

The new Planning Bill is looking to improve community engagement in Planning. We would like to explain the current methods that are used to engage with the community around planning and place. We will explain the current regulations, systems that are in place and seek feedback on how successful these are, how we might be able to reduce barriers to communication and improve the way we engage in the future.

If anyone would like to attend but has transport difficulties, please ask on our Facebook group or contact us directly if you do not use Facebook.
